A 30-year-old King County resident is in custody at the Grays Harbor County Jail this morning after a dangerous crime spree in the West end of Aberdeen yesterday. Around 7:23 AM, Aberdeen Officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 2700 block of Simpson Avenue. A vehicle was missing a license plate and the occupant was acting suspicious. Aberdeen officers arrived moments later and the suspect left before police arrived. The vehicle returned to a residence in Renton and Aberdeen Officers requested they attempt to contact the owner to determine if they knew where the car was.

Just after 3:00 a.m. this morning Hoquiam Police and Fire personnel were dispatched to a report of a collision near Lincoln Street and Queen Avenue, with a vehicle on fire.  Upon officers’ arrival, they found a mid-90’s Ford Ranger pick-up fully engulfed in flames.  It was determined there had not been a collision, just a vehicle fire.  Responding Hoquiam Fire Department units extinguished the stubborn fire. 

The Mason County Sheriffs Office announced Thursday afternoon that they are searching for two suspects in a Kidnapping/Homicide case where a body was found in the Lake Cushman area on October 2nd.

On October 2, 2020, the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) received a call of a body found off of U.S. Forest Service Road 24, near the intersection with Hwy 119, in the Lake Cushman area. The body was that of an adult white female. It was apparent from the evidence at the scene that this was a homicide. An autopsy was completed on October 5th, 2020. We were able to identify the victim as Rachell Rene Roberts. She was assaulted and the Medical Examiner found signs of suffocation.

The Washington State Patrol says that a bicyclist was struck and killed Tuesday evening near Porter south of Elma as he was riding his bicycle in the westbound lane of travel. 

The collision happened around 7:53 pm on State Route 12 when an unidentified male riding a bicycle in the westbound lane of travel was struck by a 2004 Silver Toyota Tacoma driven by a 64-year-old Elma man.  

The Driver and passenger of the Toyota Tacoma (a 54-year-old Elma man) were not injured and the vehicle sustained little to no damage.  

The Washington State Patrol says that the bicyclist was not wearing a helmet and had been using improper lane usage for riding his bicycle.  

One person was transported for injuries Saturday after 2 car collision on State Route 109 at Chenois Creek RD

According to a Washington State Patrol report a 65-year-old Ocean Shores Woman was traveling northbound on State Route 109 at the Chenois Creek Bridge in a 2009 Toyota Camry and crossed the center line on the bridge colliding with a 2014 Cehcirlet Silverado driven by an 81-year-old Roy man with a 25-year old passenger.


The Camry came to rest in the northbound ditch with the Silverado resting in the southbound ditch after being rotated counterclockwise.


The Ocean Shores woman was transported to Community Hospital for her injuries and is being charged with negligent driving 2nd degree for falling asleep at the wheel.
