According to the Shelton Police Department on Monday, November 23, at approximately noon, the Shelton Police Department received information regarding a possible homicide.

In partnership with the Mason County Sheriff's Office, law enforcement teams located the remains of what is believed to be a previously reported missing adult.

Undersheriff Brad Johansson says this morning that on 11-22-20 deputies were dispatched to the 7-11 on Olympic Hwy in Central Park for a possible robbery.

The reporting party advised that a man parked across two parking spaces in front of the store, armed himself with a gun, and entered the store. A deputy arrived on the scene and observed a male matching the suspect’s description inside the store. The deputy did not see a gun in the suspect's hand but detained him to investigate further. When the male was asked if he was armed he admitted that he had a pistol in his waistband. The deputy recovered a loaded 9mm pistol from his waistband.

According to the Grays Harbor County Sheriffs, Office On 11-23-20 deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Lund Road.  The reporting party called 911 to report that her 33-year-old son was having mental issues again and was being disorderly and she needed help.  The line disconnected while on the phone with 911.

Deputies responded to the same address the day prior to assist mental health professionals who were attempting to evaluate the suspect.

The mental health professionals did not feel safe contacting him without law enforcement being present.

During the contact, the suspect made threats to kill law enforcement while armed with a metal weapon in his hand.

The suspect then fled the address on foot and he was not located or evaluated.

There will be an elevated risk of flooding in Aberdeen on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. NOAA’s
predicted high tide at Aberdeen on Tuesday is 11.85 feet (MLLW datum) at 2:06 PM. The National
Weather Service is forecasting that the actual tide may be 1.6 feet higher than NOAA’s prediction (13.45
feet MLLW) due to strong winds and low pressure. Rainfall is forecasted to begin early Tuesday morning
and continue through the day. The combination of a very high tide and rainfall can result in lowland area
flooding, especially within two to three hours before and after the high tide. All of the City’s stormwater
pump stations are operational and Public Works crews are ready to respond to flooding if it occurs.
