PACIFIC COUNTY, Wash. — Two Raymond residents were killed Sunday evening after a motorcycle left the roadway on State Route 105, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The collision occurred at approximately 5:55 p.m. on September 20 near milepost 14 in Pacific County.

Investigators said a 2022 Indian Chief motorcycle was traveling southbound when it left the roadway, lost control and struck a rock embankment. The motorcycle then crossed all lanes of traffic before coming to rest on the northbound shoulder.

The driver, 33-year-old John W. Huglen, and his passenger, 35-year-old Aprill L. Dundom, both of Raymond, died at the scene. Washington State Patrol reported that both riders were wearing helmets.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Whether drugs or alcohol were involved was not immediately known.

Aberdeen Auto Wrecking was called to remove the motorcycle. No other vehicles were involved.
