One person sustained injuries in the collision and was transported to Harbor Regional Health Hospital for treatment. No fatalities were reported. Authorities confirmed that neither drugs nor alcohol were factors in the crash.
The cause of the collision was determined to be speed too fast for conditions. The driver of the southbound vehicle, a 21-year-old male from Cosmopolis, was not injured but is facing a charge of negligent driving in the second degree. An 18-year-old female passenger in the same vehicle was injured, and transported to Community Hospital priority. The driver of the second vehicle, a 37-year-old male from Olympia, was not injured.
Both vehicles were totaled as a result of the crash. One vehicle was removed by South Beach Tow, while the second was privately towed.
Traffic on SR-105 was impacted while emergency responders and tow crews worked the scene. The Washington State Patrol continues to remind drivers to slow down and adjust their driving to roadway and weather conditions.
