19 Year Old DUI Driver Causes 2 Car Collision That Ends Up a Vehicle Vs Store In Oakville

A 19 year old Rochester teen is responsible for a collision that occurred last night, August 18th, 2025, at 10:55 PM in Oakville.Initial dispatch information had fire, EMS and officers dispatched to 104 W Pine, where a vehicle had driven into the store, and reporting parties had stated the vehicle had been traveling at a high rate of speed. It was updated to a 2 vehicle collision with one vehicle vs pole, and the other into the store itself. Roadway, Pine St which is also SR 12 was reported to be fully blocked.

The Washington State Patrol says in a report that both involved vehicles were westbound on State Route 12 / Pine St. A red 2004 Ford Mustang driven by a 19-year-old male from Rochester driving at a high rate of speed struck a 2022 Chevrolet Traverse driven by a 47-year-old from Elma at the rear of that vehicle. The 19-year-old in the red Mustang veered to the left, striking the “Little Bit” General Store and coming to rest inside of the building. The struck vehicle, the Traverse, struck a pole on the side of the road, stopping on the westbound side/direction. 

No one was reported injured at the time of the collision.  In the Mustang with the 19-year old was a 21 year old Aberdeen man, the Chevrolet Traverse had several passengers: 3 additional adults and 2 children. 

The Washington State Patrol says that DUI and speed was the cause of the collision.
