September 17, 2025 – Deputies are investigating an early morning stabbing that occurred around 6:10 a.m. Wednesday in the area of State Route 12 in Central Park 7-Eleven .

According to initial reports, a victim was stabbed in the arm by a suspect who then stole the victim’s belongings and fled the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, last seen wearing a baseball cap, hoodie, and carrying a backpack. He was last observed heading westbound along SR 12.

According to radio traffic the stabbing did not occur at the 7-Eleven, but the victim walked there to call 911 for help.

WSP radio traffic had a Washington State Patrol Trooper contacting a person near Linkshire Drive and SR 12 who matched the description. That subject, who had multiple warrants, was taken into custody but was determined not to be the stabbing suspect.

As of 7:34 a.m., deputies were still actively searching the area and following up at another location in an effort to locate the suspect.

The investigation is ongoing.
